Truth be told, I (sort-of) knew the fun I was going to have before I even met TJ and Ludy. TJ’s Sister-in-law (who is a riot herself) told me last week that “TJ and Ludy are such a fun couple”. There isn’t a more a true statement ever spoken. We had 𝗦𝗢 𝗠𝗨𝗖𝗛 𝗙𝗨𝗡 wandering around Jim Thorpe during their “Jim Thorpe winter fest celebration”.
My couples are great at making their own “micro-moments” within their sessions, and TJ and Ludy didn’t hesitate to make their fair share of those. Between the epic walk to the snowy pedestrian bridge, random train hopping, photobombing by some clydesdales, tastings at Nomad Distilling , and a middle of the street photo there are too many moments to even fit within one post. I can’t wait to celebrate with these two in October!
Founded in 1818 and originally known as Mauch Chunk, Jim Thorpe is now named after the greatest athlete of all time, and there’s plenty of rich history to discover. The elegant Victorian mansions which were once home to turn-of-the-century industrialist millionaires have been revitalized, and today house unique shops, dining, bed & breakfasts, museums, galleries and popular entertainment venues. There are a ton of photographic opportunities, especially in fall and winter. Check out the old train station, the town itself, or wander over the bridge to get a peek at the Lehigh Valley Gorge!
